We're doing all about minibeasts this week, and I wrote this little poem - thought I'd share (hope you like it).
Minibeasts, minibeasts, where do you hide?
Minibeasts, minibeasts, are you inside...
That old stump of tree over there in the woods?
Or under that stone, now that would be good!
I only want to watch you, to see how you live,
I promise not to hurt you, and that I will give...
You back to nature when I am done.
I think you're amazing for such a small one,
You're the size of my nail, and that's not very big,
Oh wait, I can see you laying there on that twig,
You're so very beautiful, though some won't agree,
I could sit here for ever, just you and me,
But for now I must leave you to get on with your day,
So goodbye little friend, I must be on my way.
