Hi hope this has worked, just seen this on ebay, she is advertising as a childminder, baby sitter etc. It does not say she is registered so I emailed her and asked, she replied that she is not registered, has anyone else seen this?:( :( :(

She doesn't say she is looking to do it in her own home though does it. She doesn't appear to be registered as she is very vague about what she is offering.

either way

She should not advertise as a "childminder " when she clearlly isnt

If your providing care for 2 hours + you have to be registered !! END OF

Although she doesnt actually say weather she is doing it at her home ?

I am tempted to message also !!

How cheeky, people like her give us a bad name. I am sure there are parents out there who don't check to see if she is registered!

I've just reported it as 'misrepresentation of title' and in my free text I said that she is not Ofsted registered therefore should not use the word childminder. No idea what will happen now!!!

Her title says Childminder

She is NOT a Childminder :panic:

I think if 3 or more people report it gets taken off eBay - I may be wrong - it's been a while since I read the rules on eBay's do's and don'ts.

Response was

I am not registered no, I dont care for children in my own home. At the moment I care for a boy weekdays after school in his own home until 7pm.
I also have a few clients who I babysit for in the evenings. I can recommend some good web sites if you are looking for a registered childminder.

I agree her use of the word childminder is wrong but she does clarify what she is looking for later in the ad and specifies that she does not work in her own home.

I see she has changed the title on the original link to 'Babysitter' and further down on her other descriptions in other items she is either a babysitter or child carer now.
