Hi all!

I'm still working on my information sheet to give to prospective mindees and have come to my fees information. I was just wondering (for those that charge a set fee per week I guess) if you charged a set rate for all pre schoolers per week or if you charged more for those under 2? I know a childminding friend does charge more for her under 2's but I'm looking for some other input!

Thank you!

I do an hourly rate or daily rate - don't charge more for children under 2. :)

Why charge more for under 2's? seems strange.

But all my mindees are on the same hourly rate regardless of age

I never asked her why, but thinking about it maybe it's because she provides nappies, wipes etc?

Thanks for your replies!

That would make sense if she does that then. Still - when its your own business you can do whatever you please.

Good luck with all your info

Get the parents to supply! That way you are safe with allergies etc :D

I charge same amount per hour regardless of age, siblings, etc.

I have 4 1 year olds on my books and they all come with their changing bags packed with nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, etc.

I've seen some childminders charge more for under one's. But I don't know if that could be viewed as discrimination?

I have 2 sets of fees -one for under 5 who can pay by the hour or by the daily rate and one for school children who pay per session (ie before school = 1 hour, after school = 3hrs or full day in school holidays).

Hi, I have found that nurseries charge different rates for different ages, the reason they use is that the younger ones need more care and attention, what do others think?

I charge the same rate no matter what HOWEVER Im thinking of changing this as a child that needs nappy changes, bottles, needs to be followed around like their shaddow, wont go to sleep but cries constantly because grumpy   seriously I think 0-3 / 3-6 / 6+ should be charged differently

I charge £2.90 per hour

so Id perhaps charge £3.50 for 0-3, £3.10 for 3-6 and £2.75 for 6+

Oh I dont know does that make any sense????:jump for joy: :jump for joy:
