Hello everyone!

I am starting today and have my first two mindees here in a little while....I had a meeting with a mum this morning and she wants me to have her 6 months old girl....I am so happy, I think I have been really lucky - 5 on my books already, OK all part time but the hours are good and most are part time workers round here anyway!

And just to think, when I rung up the local Child and Families team they tried to put me off saying I probably wouldnt get work cos there are too many minders in my area....yeah right!!!! I'm glad it never put me off......YET lol!

Thanks everyone! Feeling quite emotional!!!! My little boy is 2 and he has had me to himself for two years and although he is used to being with other children, he found it hard today especially when the 16mth old needed lots of cuddles and reassurance when mummy left.

The little girl has selective mutism and was fantastic! Really opened up to me which surprised mum...got to be doing something right! They enjoyed themselves which is the main thing....Got them plus another one on Wednesday.

A nice glass of vino has just been poured so gonna steam into that!!!!

Aw well done, sounds like it went really well. My LO will be 2 when I get my 9 month old mindee and I'm guessing he'll be in for the same shock of having to share mummy!
