Gutted :(

:crying::crying: I'm devastated.....One of my mums has been round today to tell me that they are moving to Aberdeen. I'll be losing 3 children at the end of June :eek: :crying: Mum got quite upset (as did I). The children are 6, 3 and 1 and I've looked after them since the eldest was 6 months old. Dad has been offered a job too good to refuse (he's in the oil industry). She said some lovely things like how she wishes I could move with them and that he'd turned down 2 jobs in the last 6 months because they didn't want to move their children away, but this new job offer was just too good. Mum hasn't long been back at work but she should be able to get a new job as she is a teacher.

I am really going to miss them when they go as they feel like part of the family.

oh..you poor thing..its awful when they leave.
I havent had any mindees go yet but my DD#1 is at uni...and it wrenches when she goes back.

Buts she is back today!!!! yippee

I understand as my first LO left a couple of weeks ago, but to lose three that you are so fond of must be very upsetting. Hope you fill the vacancies soon with new mindees you can grow close to.

It is difficult to move on when we get so attached isn't it...... but know in your heart you have helped the family and the children will have a new adventure to start...... I would now start a project 'finding out' all about where they are going to help them adjust to a new place and for you to help them before they go..... send them off on a high note xx;)

Not surprised you are gutted - Thats really sad - I hope you get another new lovely family (or other families) like this to replace the income they bring in - I know you won't ever be able to replace the actual children.
