I have a child coming just for today as his mums stuck for childcare would you do a contract or just a child record form.

Contract defo hon. Then you got your back covered. They do short term contracts to but If you dont have one do normal. The contract is the only legal thing you got x

The contract only protects you against non payment and getting help for payment etc,and also protects the parents against you letting them down. the permission forms and parental contact and all contact numbers are the important forms.
The contract has nothing to do with insurance. Public liability is totally seperate, you can ring and check if you wish but I have done before.
Just so long as you work towards ofsteds registration requirements, which having a contract isn't one, you are fine.
