June and I are planning a joint activity based around Jungle/Safari animals - has anyone any ideas/resourses/links. Have found animal masks, but not much else! any help appreciated! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

we have just done a theme on zoo animals (so some of the same animals)

i used sparkle box and dltk for activities.

enchantedlearning.com is a good one too

my dd loved elmer when we read the books so we did a large elmer for our display.

if you have any toy animals dip them in paint and do footprints

Why not use they puppets as a visual aid while singing a variation of Old MacDonald:

'Old MacDonald had a zoo, Oh, Oh, Ah, Ah, Rahh! (i.e animal noises). And in that zoo he had a ...........'

We did this song at the library Rhymetime sessions, I love it! You could use some BSL signs for animals too.

Elephant - use your arm as a trunk at your nose and swing it a little.

Snake - put your right hand in a v shape like a snakes tongue, move this out from your mouth like a snake does.
