hi, at the moment i am in the process of doing an old house up. i am in a council flat at the moment minding and all my smoke alarms and c02 alarm are all mains fitted. anyway went over to check the progress of work in other premises. they have put in mains operated fire alarms but i dont see any c02 alarms?? do these have to be mains operated too does anyone know?? xx

Well I didn't even realise you could get mains operated CO2 alarms, we have a battery one and no ones mentioned it needing changed, in fact no ones looked at it at all.

Mine is battery too, and no one has said thats not ok

phew!!!!! i am in council flat just now and mine is mains operated so just assumed that it had to be but thats great thanks guys!!!!! xx

My CO2 alarm is battery operated (from ebay)!:)

i dont have CO2 alarm..................... but then no gas comes into my house.... only the sort that comes from too many beans at dinner time.. do u think id need one for that:laughing: :D
