First time paperwork, wow

Hi, Ive been childminding for a few weeks now and am having trouble getting my head around the evening paperwork eg. accounting, planning, observations, attendance registers etc.

Also Im worried Im going to do something wrong and upset the tax man. Its all new territory to me.
Do you do your paperwork every night, or just do it on set nights of the week to save your sanity? Also are there any hard and fast rules for the tax man?

Keep all your receipts! Most important thing, especially for anything over £10,
Just try and do it maybe at the end of the week, best to keep on top of it as it has a habit of creeping up on you :eek:

I try and do bits each night and set aside 20 minutes / half an hour to scribble.

Otherwise it sort of grows and gets a bit silly! :rolleyes:
