One of my mindees has come this morning with peeling hands? Mum asked me if i knew what would be causing it, which i dont? ANyone have any ideas?:rolleyes:
is she constatnly playing with water?
My hands peel and quite a few cms here are always talking about it too. Could be that they need moisturiser

its like big chunks of skin, looks slightly like pva glue peeling off in big bits but its not its her skin

A friend of mind had a nasty skin infection that was like that except very itchy too. Might be worth getting it checked. Have they tried moisturiser?

Are they sore? Could the child have touched any thing caustic like cleaning products? I would want a Dr's opinion if it was my child!

Does he have a sore throat? Check his feet to see if they are "peeling"

sounds like athletics feet on the hands dont no if you can get it there. does she ave eczema? its worth a visit to local pharmacy they may be able to help is lo bothered by it?:)

Think I would say to the parent either consult someone at a pharmacy or take them to the doctors just to be on the safe side.

Have they started using anything new that the child could be allergic to?

my lil girl has peeling fingers from where she has been playing with water mainly but also where her exzema has cleared up and skin is still delicate
hope shes not suffering with it lil love

my brother had this and it was a virus but can you get hand foot and mouth ??

yes its quite common in lo's and infectious

My DS had hand foot and mouth, and both his hands and feet peeled, big chunks of skin. I had to stop my other 2 children from peeling the skin off him!!! Eurgh!!!
He only had this after the spots had been and gone though, so maybe you would hve noticed this first?
I would visit the DRs.
