Hello,

When a child is leaving your setting and comes to the end of the notice period do you do anything special for them on the last day? Do you get them a small gift?

Also if said child is moving on to a new childminder what do you do to help them prepare. It is one of the CC requirements that we help prepare children for change in their life IYSWIM.

Thanks Ladies

I have what is known as a 'transition' document.

It is written following the Eyfs but you could so a similar one for Scotland.

It shows the child's achievements and areas where he might need a little bit of help still.

It is given to parents along with their child's learning and development booklet and I ask them to please pass it on.

I will also happily talk to new settings if they wish to contact me :D
