I've just answered the door to one of my mindees young mum and she has brought me a lovely bunch of flowers and a present.

She said I'm like a second mum to her son.

Such a shock I started to cry, what a wally:laughing:

Yes, this is the first time I've had it happen to me in 13 years.

It's a shame she's leaving me in April to have another baby, it would be lovely to have them back but she doesn't know what she's going to do as she doesn't want to go back to her old job.

So I'll just have to hope that I'll have spaces when she does start work again, I really don't want to lose them, they are such a lovely family.

I got a voucher for M&S from one mindee for my birthday last week and she has only been with me for a month, and last month one of my other ones came in with a bunch of flowers and a bottle of polish vodka just to say thanks for all I do for them and just for being me - yep I cried at that one

There was me feeling sorry for myself cos I didn't think any of my mums would ever do anything so nice....

Five mins ago, I got a text from one mum with a pic of Kai, my son saying 'Happy Mummy's Day, love you lots from Kai'

The most touching thing is the photo is from last year when she looked after him for me while I was in hospital and took him to a Halloween party. He is all dressed up as a pink and black cat with whiskers and ears etc! He won first prize for best costume that night and I was gutted I wasn't there to see him. I'm in tears now!!!
