Hi all I have just finished my first full day got 3 children one I drop off at pre-school and pick her up at 3 pm and the other two children are with me all day aged 2 and 3. My gosh I cant believe how much hard work it is!!! I have got lovely children but I have not even had a minute to have a drink all day. Do you think the parents realise how hard we work LOL.

Glad it went well :clapping:

Yep it is hard work. I like to politely remind people I don't get tea breaks, lunch breaks etc. I end up scoffing my dinner half the time. I do try and eat with the kids but they are always wanting something, spilling something and generally being kids

I sit down at lunch and tea times and try to have a bit of a break.

It's too long a day otherwise

Glad you had fun! Long may it continue :D

Do yourself a packed lunch to eat with the children, and make sure you all get at least an hours rest after lunch, don't feel you have to play with them all day.

I don't think I sat down for my first month  Until Sarah kept telling me to chill out ( was that really a year ago???)

you soon realise tho. You do need breaks, don't try to do everything all at once.
Glad your enjoyed your first day tho xx

Good idea! My hubby takes one to work with him. I am forever making myself drinks and then get distracted with nappy changes or requests for help and an hour later it gets tipped away

I use a thermal cup especially at this time of year when we go out in the garden to play, I need to take my cuppa with me

I do try and make myself have a lunch break, sit down and chill. At the moment I have a LO who has a nap straight after lunch, so I sit down for about half hour and then rush around and do things before he wakes
