I will wait for them to send one out to me in the post, if they don't bother then it's their fault - I am not using my valuable ink for them to keep changing their poster every 6 months! rant over:laughing:

Thank you June and Pauline, but this poster says anything about childcare that parents want to tell them call 0300 123 1231, so why does it not have the number 0300 123 4666 for concerns/complaints?

Help! My PC won't download any PDF files:censored: Can anyone tell me the number that is supposed to be shown on the poster. I think I'll just stick a label over the old one.
Save a bit of ink and a laminating pouch ;)

Thank you!!

I just need to clarify this. Is this the number to be used for everything. I have my inspection looming and if this is the case need to update my paperwork. Just thinking then my complaints policy would have to change, and my safeguarding, can anybody else think of where else I need to change it on my paperwork - trying to scan through everything at the mo!

Will probably use it as another reason to mark you down during an Inspection. I was told that I SHOULD always be going onto the OFSTED website to get updated information, which is fair enough. But what about all the other 50 million things we SHOULD be doing..........

Has anyone done any research on those people who are stressed/depressed, and how many of them are Childminders????? Just a thought.....

Hope you all are well.

I received my new registration cert yesterday and a poster in with it - the original one. I did phone to 0300 number last night and it had the same recorded message, same voice, as the 0845 one. I think the reason that they have provided an 0300 number is that it costs the same as numbers beginning 01 and 02 - therefore cheaper than 0845. Suppose we can use either number and thats why the poster picture is the same.

I just phoned Ofsted as I had to advise them of closure and I asked them if childminders should be using this new 0300 number (I had dialled on the 0845 number).

She said 0845 404040 is being phased out so the 0300 number should be used in all instances. I said so I need to change my complaints policy to show the new number and she said yes!! Nice of them to inform us!

Thank you Pauline and June for the information - I'm due an inspection at any time so I'll make sure everything is corrected! (I'm also going to let all the people in my childminding group know as I'm sure they won't have the first clue!).

This forum is wonderful

i had the new one up as id seen it on here ; but she ( mrs O) said that for 6 months its fine to have either poster during the transition period , so it wouldnt affect your grade whichever poster / number you had.

As far as I know you are supposed to give the parents the number in your complaints policy for them to have at home, it is so that they know the number for complaints without having to ask you or find it at your setting.

I phoned them to query this, I was told that the number on the poster was the new number. I queried this as on their website it had a different number showing for any concerns or complaints (ending in 4666). The guy said both numbers can be used.

Just had my inspection - they were very impressed that I had the new poster on the wall thanks to you!!!!

What I did was gave a slip out to parents notifiying them of the new number and that this applied to their safeguarding policy and complaints policy which I had given them.

They were very impressed!!!!!

I think the old number is only going for a few months, I had advice on this also and apparently Ofsted hoped that the new number would filter through and were not going to notify everyone of it!

Thanks just printed my copy now, had a look on Ofsteds website and this number is now been shown.
You would think I would send us a new poster before the number changes but then again we are working with OFSTED!!!!!!!!

Thanks anyway
