We have had a new mindee this week (3 1/2), Mum is a minor local celeb (local radio dj) and he was up on our play platform and he pointed out that we had a smoke alarm. Thinking this was the perfect time for me to introduce our fire evacuation policy i asked if he knew what we had to do if the alarm goes off? He said yes (I was impressed :clapping: ) he said............"you get the tea towel and wave it around until the noise stops" :laughing: :laughing: Think i will have to do some work with him on that one!

In our house everybody thunders off to the back gate. Usually I've only burnt the burgers! :blush:

yep that's what mine would say (don't have mindees yet) they get me a tea towel and close the door to the hall!!!:laughing:

AW that's what happens here too! Though it's all about to change soon when I start minding. Not sure my eldest 2 will be impressed (15 and 12) though!!!???

our smoke alarm is crap...you only got to boil the kettle and it goes off...i really need to get some battery ones rather than the electric ones.:panic:

My after schoolies have got used to me shutting the door to the lounge on Fridays which is burger day, otherwise it goes off and they just carry on playing the computer game
