i have an assistant it's quite a long process and you have to evidence everything that you do from the interviews right through to the person starting. it does increase your numbers and it's nice to have company. if you need any help i'd be happy to assist.

Geraldine, what is your assistant allowed to do? Is she allowed to be left alone with children or do the school run etc? Also where do you get info about it, I have been looking and can't find much.

Hello. I would be interested to find out more too. Care Commission told me to make my hubby a partner but that will have tax implications as he then becomes a partner in the business. Is it quicker to get him registered as an assistant? I ahve someone wanting to start in couple of weks but I need him as assistant/partner first.
