Do you need to check the temperature of the fridges and freezers on a daily basis to meet ofsted standards? I'm not sure whether i read this correctly.
If so, is the a book where you record it.

Sorry if that seems quite basic but new to all this, wanna make sure its right.

If you go on a basic food hygiene course, you will be told that it is good practice to record your fridge, freezer and cooked food temps every day. That way, if something goes horribly wrong and a child is taken ill, you can prove it's not you.

Have a look here for more information :D

I agree with Sarah - it's good practice to do so

i bought my thermometer from ebay

it has a probe on it

it goes from -50 to 200

it can also be used to check temperature of food

price was £11.99 with free postage

i made my own chart but thinking of getting a dairy to record it in

I got my fridge/freezer thermometer and food probe from Ebay.

I log fridge & freezers temps daily....it is considered to be good practice and goes towards proving that you are trying to keep the children safe.
