  Thanks for all your warm congratulations, I live near Derby if that helps any of you. When I first started it was very different to now as some of you will undoubtedly know, there was no training to do and really no support and of course nothing like this brilliant forum to turn to. The registration process took on average about 6 months and was dealt with by Social Services. One thing that has happened over the last couple of weeks which is great, I now have the grandson of the very first parents I had, it is a pity that it is not C's child but it is his nephew so do you think OFSTED would play ball with continuation of care if I needed a variation:rolleyes:   . I have had times when I have had no children at all and then other times as is happening now when 3 mums are shortly going on maternity leave and have asked me to have the new babies as well in a few months time, I think I am going to have to have an assistant.

When I read some of the posts on the forum, I can totally empathise with everyone and would just like to say that we are lucky now as we have so many wonderful people that we can turn to and even though I have been childminding so long I find that I am still learning so much on here.

Also I went on a full day EYFS training yesterday and would like to say to Sarah that the work you have done on your ebooks about the EYFS that I purchased from you recently were spot on with what the trainers were telling us how things will be expected to be done. So a big pat on the back for yourself and thank you for doing so much work for all of us to be able to use. We also got some great freebies, a set of books like the little baby books from featherstone for the birth to three and NCMA's book Active Learning.

We were perhaps luckier than some with the training as we did it as our Network and we already new the trainers.

Again thank you all for the good wishes and sorry it is such a long post.

You don't even get that long in prison for murder!!! Great to see it can still

be an enjoyable profession after so long. I'll be retired in 25 years!!
