Hi,

I'm going to be minding a 3 year old for 7 hours, 1 day a week (9-4).
I also have a 1 year old myself but she is really easy going and very flexible.

I was wondering whether anyone minds a child this age and what their general daily routine is.

Any tips about how you share the routine with the child. And do you have a written plan each day?

Many thanks in advance

Vicki

I have an overall routine, then individual planning which shows I take the child's interests into account.

The routine covers meal times, a reading session, music session, outings etc.

Hth :D

I mind a 3 year old, I have her my dd 2 1/2 and a lo of a year. In the morning we go to soft play or toddlers come home and have lunch, she still has a sleep so will go down for about an hour after lunch, we play with dolls a lot as this is their favourite pastime at the mo, then we do the school run, back home snack time play for a bit then she is picked up
