i had a mum come visit me 2 weeks ago for childcare
kids are 3 and 8 months
she said at the time that she wanted me to care for the kids (various hours 2 days a week different days each week inc 7am starts), then few days later said she would get back to me as she was visiting other minders (told her fine but couldnt guarentee the space)

had another mum contact me last week for childcare ( 2 days a week set days), her kids are 18 months and 7 years, she rang today definatly wants me to have the kids and is coming on friday to sogn contraacts and kids will start next week

well.............. i have a dilema
i can only take on one family otherwise it puts me over my numbers :panic:

which would you go for???

The one that signs the contract first. You could wait for the other and they may not come back to you.

Good luck

2nd family - its set hours so easier to work around.

What does the first person want you to do about your dogs?! and already querying her commitment? Not such an early start either.

2nd one sounds lots better.

I agree 2nd sounds better, set hours, at least you know where you are.

Cant believe other one already asking how long tied in for, doesnt bode well, does it

I agree the 2nd one sounds best. To complain about the dogs, erratic hours/days then ask how long tied in doesn't exactly fill you with confidence!

Anyway the 2nd one has a 7yr old so not long until they are not counted in your under 8s ;)

Definately the 2nd one, if the other one is dithering she will probably continue and cause your further problems later.

2nd one. 1st one sounds like trouble already plus if you take on family number 2 you still have another under 5 space if you need it. And, you don't need to do the 7am starts.:D

I would go for the second family like most other people.
