Hiya all,

Well i have completed my first week of minding and we have had loads of fun im so glad i made this decision!! Mindee is 13 months and my dd is 18 months.
My dilemma is... Just had an enquiry for 15 month old 9am-2pm mon - fri.
Do you think its too much for me being new and looking after 3 girls 18 months and under?
would love to hear what you would do!!

As long as you have enough equipment/buggies and can gtet out and about, then yes!

Sounds fun :)

I dont think its a case of too much but I would wonder on how many days you have the other mindee and how it would affect you being able to get out and about?

It may be a bit difficult getting out and about.....
but imagine what good friends they will be when a bit bigger
My idea of heaven was a couple of years ago when I had 3 girls of between 2 1/2 and 3 all playing" mummies" in the garden :littleangel: :littleangel: :littleangel:(3 little angels)

Yes def I would. A couple of days a week I have a 26mth old, a 22mth old and a 20mth old. All girls. It's lovely to see them all together. As long as you can plan on how you will get out and about and deal with them all safely it'll be great fun :)

When I started I had 3 full timers under 18 months, it was great as they were all in a similar routine, and slept for 2 hours after lunch so I could catch up on paperwork etc.

I really want to do it but after having pushed a triple buggy last week i really dont think i can use one.
Do you know if its possible to fit a buggy board to a double buggy (Mamas and Papas Beat buggy)

How far/often do you go places where you need to walk? I don't drive but think I would give it a go, we have a huge garden and the park is only a few mins walk away, am sure my 17m old would manage it. Is your current mindee full time too? The thing is, it's only going to be a prob for a few months until the older ones walk better and they could take turns in buggy if it's not far to walk.

I would need to go out on a wed and fri morning to childminer drop-in. But you are right though, it will only be a few months and my dd will be walking most of the time.
I think im gonna do it

I'd definitely meet the mindee and mum then see how you feel.

Good luck

 I meant you might not like her! Or think she might not fit in with the other mindees.

Three so close together in age will be very hard work for a while but lots of fun and easier as they get older.

Go for it!

I think it is hard work! I have a 15 month old 18 month and 20 month old and the hardest part is getting out and about. I have a phil and teds with a buggy pod and the buggy pod is ok for very short distances from car to school and back and car to toddler and back. If I didnt have my car I couldnt do it.

In march I will have 9 month, 15 month and 20 month 2 days and 15 month 18month and 20 month 2 days and I am dreading it.

If you think you can do it go for it. The money will also be great. But Let's not pretend it will be easy!

Thanks for all your replies, have decided against it in the end.
The reason being my nearest soft-play is 40 mins away, the childrens farm is 40 mins away, zoo is 60 mins away etc....
If i took this lo on it would mean no more day trips to the above as i would have to be back at 2pm every day for her to be collected and we really enjoy going out and dont normally get home til 4ish.
Thanks again :)
