Not sure if this has been discussed already but apparently the number we give to parents has changed. I've been advised to put a sticker over the old number on the poster until they send out new ones.

The number I've been given is 0300 123 4666. I don't want to change anything yet in case it's wrong so I'm just waiting to see if anyone else has heard the same

I have just spoken to Ofsted :D

Over the next 6 months they are changing their telephone numbers.

They are going from the higher rate 0845 to the lower rate (normal telephone call cost) 0300.

This is being phased in and we will all be told about it in due course.

We do not need to make any changes yet, however both numbers do work.

the new general helpline number will change from 08456 404040 to 0300 123 1231...

The new complaints number will be 0300 123 4666.

I hope this clarifies :D

Googled 0300 123 4666 and came up with this

http://www.ofsted.biz/Ofsted-home/About-us/Contact-us

which shows that to be the complaints number

A really good idea is to put on the complaints poster......All phone calls to this number will be charged at the rate of £10.00 per second.

That should stop them from phoning to complain

Quick query now then the poster on the ofsted website says if you want to tell us anything about your childcare call 0300 123 1231!

So does this mean they do not know what number they want people to call them on?
