I'm currently applying to become a network childminder. I need to answer a load of questions one being:-
Why is it important that childcare providers are registered and inspected by Ofsted against the National Welfare Requirements? Consider the purpose of the 5 EYFS welfare requirements in your answer.

My mind is blank as to what they want me to put! Any suggestions grately appreciated

look at the legal requirements and how you meet them and how they affect the child. What would a registered/unregistered person do etc...

It is important to be registered so that we provide a consistent level of care that benefits children in their learning and development. It also ensures that registered childcare has the required minimum such as insurance, first aid etc.
Parents can be reassured that childcare providers are...../have.....

We use the EYFS framework to help children progress towards the ELG's that in turn gives them the best possible start when they start school.
