Hi all
ive had an email from a lady who's 8 year old daughter currently attends an afterschool club.
The lady works shifts and does not know her days or hours untill a week before, all she could tell me was her shifts where either going to be 8-2 (in which case she would need me to have her daughter 7.30 and take her to school for 9.) or 2-8 (in which case I would have her daughter 3-8). The most I would have her daughter would be 3 out of 5 days.

The lady currently has to pay for 7 sessions in an out of school club and has asked if I would have her as the after school club does not cater for the school hols.
My question is how much should I charge? What would you charge? I don't really want to work till 8 unless it is worthwhile as I have two small children of my own.
Thanks

I would personally charge for a full time place as there is no way that you are going to be able to fill the space when mum works shifts .

Hope this helps x

As she is 8 and is outside my numbers I would charge per week for 3 days after school. This would cover 3 days before or after school per week and not both, with anything over the 3 days being paid for in addition to those booked

With my rates i would charge £14.00 per morning to include breakfast.

After school it would be £30.00 to include a hot meal as well. :)

I dont do part hours in the morning. So it would be two hours minding and one hour to drop to school @ £4.00 = £12.00 plus £2.00 for a breakfast.

And i am cheap some minders round my way charge £5.50 per hour or even £6.00 for before and after schoolers.:)

i charge £4.50/hour for after school so that works out at £15.50 from 3pm to 6pm (including £2 for a meal). How long do you keep them after school Wendy! you must work late??
