This morning, we had a few nice visual things and not sure if these would be worthy of obs.

Firstly we went to the pet shop and looked at the animals, the parakeets were showing off and hanging upside down by one foot, which LO loved.

Then on the way home we watched the builders knocking down the school and the grabbers sorting out all the debris.

Then we saw a squirrel, watched him come down the tree and leap right across the alley from fence to fence in front of us.

Mum and Lo both thought these were brilliant, just wandering if should be recording and how.

Advice appreciated

Did the lo make any comments about the things you saw?

If it was a baby, did he point or make a noise?

If it was an older child did he come back and get involved in builders role play or did you spend time finding out about squirrels or making them some food?

Those kind of things are great to show you are tapping into the child's interests with appropriate next steps activities :D

Thank you Sarah

He is 2.5. He was very excited when he told mum, havent got him for a while now, but will move it on a bit, perhaps look at the library for a book about squirrels and perhaps try and move on the looking at the building site.

His attention span is very short for anything other than trains, and he does move very quickly from one thing to another.

I am struggling lots with obs but off on a course in a couple of weeks, so hoping that will help me.
