What are you all doing for presents for parents from the children?

I've bought some plain photo albums which the children are going to decorate then i'm going to put in some photo's i've taken of them this year.

Could do with some more ideas though.

I buy folders - the kind that are like a book with clear wallets inside.

I put the child's name in the first page, then things such as my handprint, my footprint, drawing of family, drawing of pets, cotton wool santa, handprint santa, hand print reindeer, handprint tree, photos of throughout the year, calendar, etc

Oh and also we are going to make the ' box of love ' - Angel's idea !

We do this each year so thet the parents can look back over the years to compare their child's hand and foot print size, drawing skills and see what they get up to in my home x

Hope this helps

Thanks Cheryl.

Most of the stuff my mindees make ends up going home with them! We've done hand & footprint reindeers which we are making into christmas cards, and handprint xmas trees (already gone home).

Good idea to be able to compare though.

I got the 2 and 3 year olds to do painted hand hand prints on a A4 size card and laminated them (not the children) and made the parents a calendar.

The older children are doing a collage of Santa’s and his slay to give mum

I got some picture frames from Baker Ross - the photo of the child goes inside and the children have to decorate the frame themselves so that should be very interesting

I will post a pic when we have finished them - that is if I can work out how to do that ha

I am doing picture frames too. The kiddies are decorating them with glitter, stickers etc. Hopefully they will look ok

I am making the christmas tree decorations the cinnamon dough ones, each child will decorate about 4 or 5 different ones, then i am gong to make little boxes lined with cotton wool and get the children to decorate the boxes and tie a nice ribbon round it. Maybe even a pasta necklace for the mums depends how much time i have really.
Another idea is to make peppermint creams and get the kids to make and decorate little boxes for them.
Also doing a little book about what we have done this year with handprints photos and drawings in them.
