Does anyone use the PO GO polaroid printers for their learning journeys/obs?

I saw them in who minds yesterday with a minder saying she had used one and it saved loads of money on ink with printing the photos out. Plus they are instant and also self adhesive.

I wondered about getting one but don't know much about them.

For those of you who don't know http://www.polaroid.com/products/0/266910 they are mobile printers and doesn't use ink but you do need to use specialist paper.

However the paper is around £10-12 for 70 sheets (so am assuming 70 photos)

but obviously you wont waste your printer ink on the photos, they are a handy size for obs 2x3 inches and you can do them straight away (whereas I usually leave them until I have loads to do and get really behind!)

Would love to hear anyone's opinions if you've used them

Thanks

do you think it's actually cheaper to buy the paper than to buy printer ink cartridges. I was wondering when I read the article in who minds.

I'm not sure! I have been trying to work it out! But I have just bought ink which cost me £30 and that replaces the ink I bought 3 months ago for another £30.
So that's £10 a month. I have found the paper for £10 for 70 sheets and I don't think I will print out 70 photos a month (i might do?!)

I'm really not sure if it will be cheaper or not!

i think in the long run this will be cheaper may invest in this as part of my capital funding going to look on eby now

going on ebay for about 24.99 free p&p paper 11.99 free p&p so not bad really

theres a couple on there with printer and paper one strating at .99p another ending in 22hrs 9.99 no bids. so def worth a look

I send off for my photos when I have around 100 but they dont cost no where near £10 so although I want one it will work out more expensive for me :(

I saw the Who minds too. I get behind with the printing of pictures or get them printed and then have a stack of trimming and sticking to do. I think this might save me time - probably not money. I'm not sure how long it will last but not too expensive and worth a try - we should get NCMA to get us a deal on bulk paper purchase - sounds like everyone is interested!

.. just need to make sure LO's don't get hold of it and post stuff in it! (JOKE!):)

I have been reading the reviews on amazon it sounds quite good but it does say the paper has a use by date of two months in someones review. So depends wether you think you would print 70 photos in that sort of time frame.

Some of the prices quoted on here are crazy! Don't pay that sort of money! I bought mine from play.com You need to keep an eye on the site as the price changes daily depending on their stock. Mine was £19.99 and it was the BEST £19.99 I have ever spent! I take photos with my mobile (which is really old so I am suprised that some don't work with it!), then bluetooth the photo staright to the PoGo - voila! It is brilliant! Paper is not too expensive either as long as you shop around on the web.
