I look after a little boy who is 3. He's been off all this week as he's had a cold/sore throat etc. His dad decided he should come today but when he arrived I noticed he's got dry blood in his ears and his nose keeps bleeding. Apparently the blood in his ears is from his cold and the doctor said it would happen but I'm thinking he shouldn't be here! What do you think??

He needs an urgent doctor's appointment if he has blood in his ears!

It is one of the signs of an ear infection.

He might have scratched his ear canal but that is not his father's decision to make unless he is a qualified doctor, ENT or audiologist.

Untreated ear problems can lead to hearing loss or deafness which might be permanent.

He can't hear me very well - I have to repeat everything I say to him.

I would personally send him home and get him seen by a doctor

I would also send him home. My ds has hearing problems and nose bleeds regularly you can not take any chances at all and blood in ears  think he needs to get seen by a GP asap.

Makes me so mad
