I am about to sign contracts for a little boy(3yrs) 12pm till 5.30pm, 3 days a wk. In the hols it will be all day. This is my last under 5 space.

I don't feel i can ask her to pay all day in the term time since i'm not taking him to nursery in the morning, but obviously this means i can now only take a morning child for term time only.

Is this right or can anyone see another option?

Why don't you split the difference?

Explain to parent that under normal circumstances you would charge all day term time in order to keep space open all day for holidays - so splitting the difference is fair for everybody.

I take it you are not the emergency contact whilst the mindee is at school?

I would go with a higher rate and minimum charge per day

Thanks lots of options there i hadn't thought about.

I won't be the emergency contact, and I think a slightly higher rate is fair all round. She's my first parent at my new price anyway so she's expecting it to be a little higher.

Thanks!
