Hi all

Just wanted to let you all know what happened yestrday to my friend who is a childminder.

She went out and done a leaflet drop around her local area, about an hour after she got home, she started to get strange phone calls on her mobile, then strange phone calls on her house phone, then picture messages ( rude) ones started comming.

So she phoned the police who came around within 2 hours!!
They have said to her they think they know who is doing it and have said to her that they think its a pedofile that has slipped though the net!!!
The police took her phone last night and said that she probley wouldnt get it back, she had to make a statement and was asked if it got to court would she go...of course she would.

The police said that if any childminder gets strange calls to contact them so that they can check it out.

How absolutely appalling and frightening for your friend. Also how terrifying to be told by the Police of a local paedophile, at least they are taking it seriously though. I hope it all gets sorted out for her. :(

oh thats so wrong poor woman. now she got get new fone and number and give it out to people, least police are willing do soemthing unlike some of them out there.

Oh how awful I know that on my ICP course they said not to put your address on cards but I do have both my numbers on them prob best just to have your mobile as its easier to trace calls and change than landline.

well done to your friend for going to the police and 10/10 to them for actually doing something. You hear stories bout them not bothering to take things seriously. Nice to hear good things for a change.
