One of my new LOs is now in his 3rd week of attending - he comes 3 days and used to be looked after by his Auntie before. The first week he cried when mum left every day. Last week he cried every day except Friday - when he said Bye to mum and we had no tears.

Today he came (he does Weds-Fri), let Mum take his hat and coat off then he started walking down the hallway. I said Doesnt Mummy want a kiss and hug? He looked, smiled and carried on towards the front room!!! I picked him up and took him back to mum to give her a kiss (Mum needs it more than LO!). He gave her a hug then got down and stood there and waved her off saying Bye.

Anyway, then Mum says Thats brilliant, he never did that when he went to his Auntie!

How good did I feel????:D Thats made my day and its only 8 o'clock!!!!

Thank you for your kind words.

I do think Mum, bless her, is a bit torn between wanting him to be happy to say Goodbye and wanting him to be upset at her leaving.:(
