I'm trying to think of a way to make a sturdy cardboard garage that I can dismantle for easy storage.

that's lovely only thing is i think my older 3+ would play with this fine but I have a baby just starting to stand up and if she stood up leaning on this I think it might collapse. It's a lot of money to have it squashed. It is nice though and very eco-friendly

There's a foldable kitchen in the new Argos book but doesn't look all that sturdy. Just running out of room but I really do need a garage :(

I had a wooden garage that slotted together but it was such a pain as the kids could pull it apart. I now have a plastic one that can go in the shed when not in use.

Can't help with the garage but if anyone finds a shop (preferably wooden) that folds away I'd like to know :)

I don't know how you are for sewing and crafting but if you take a look at this link http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2009/10/felt-playhouse.html she has made a play house from felt. Maybe you could design some other play scenarios too, somewhere on that blog there is a link to many others. You would just have to make it to fit whatever table or frame you have and they will just fold away when not in use. Also somewhere on that blog, or on a link from that blog she has a roll out kitchen made from felt too.

She has lots of easy things on her blog to try to begin with. Everything is made of felt and you can get fabric glue if you want to go no sew. I bet you could surprise yourself with what you really can do.

I think it looks like the front and side bit could fit into one another but not sure how snug they would then fold to the main back bit.

I saw a fab wooden kitchen fridge,sink and cooker that stacked on top of each other to put away. It was really well constructed and made specifically for preschools/childcare that needs to be stored at end of day.:)

Only downside is it cost £299:(

The easier it folds away and smaller it is the more it costs :rolleyes:

Some of the fisher price little peoples sets fold away the castle, shop, and house. They aren't flat but they fold away neatly and are the children love them.

Just had a delivery from Studio www.24studio.co.uk and there is a leaflet advertising a pack away garage, it all folds up to look like a car tyre for £29.99, has 3 levels and ramps. No idea what the quality is like but the product code is 225-944-32RG
