Hi
This has probably been mentioned before but can't find any threads!
Can any one verify if we definately have to sign up and pay the fee for data protection, have read various articles - some counties have told their childminding groups not and our local secretary has said she was told if we store any photos of the children on our computer we had to. Know its not a huge amount to pay -my concern would be if it suddenly increased in the next few years to a ridiculous amount.

Yes it's the ICO question - yes childminders need to register if you use digital media to hold information about a child.

Data Protection and Freedom of Information advice - ICO (http://www.ico.gov.uk) :D
