I have bought some new towels for the children and want to personalise them, im having trouble trying to work out how i can make them look nice but doesnt cost much at all.

i have seen on ebay personalised iron on names but they cost £5.00 per one so by time i have bought for all mindies would cost a small fortune.
Went to the haberdashy (sp) stall at the market today and couldnt find anything that would work.

Any ideas!!!

I bought some cheap iron on characters. We have Piglet, hello kitty etc. The children recognise which picture is theirs. I think I got them off Ebay.

Can you not sew their names on yourself?

If not, what about little iron on or sew on patches. I'd have thought a sewing stall would have them. Just do a different motif for each child.

Why dont you ask around and see if anyone locally offers an embroidery service? We have a couple near by who personalise unfiorms, sports wear etc.

Or look on your local netmums site in the Household Help section - I am sure there is an emroidery/sewing section.

I use white towels and the kids have decorated them themselves with fabric paint.

You could ask if your local school or college would like a project to work on
