tax help please, really confused xx

ok, i took a part time job thing last year for a few months, ended in August, when i do my books it runs from april to april, i hadnt stopped minding just took time out, now i am worried that i have to pay tax even though i havent earnt enough in minding but earnt and paid tax on about 4/5 grand but i paid tax on that, when i do my onlline assessment do i tell them about it or not??? seen as they should already know as i was paying them tax....

Please anyone know?

I should think the two things would be treated separately, but I should call the I R and check. It can all get sooo stressful the money and form filling side of things!!

When you do your tax return you will have two parts - employed and self employed. Your tax will be worked out separately for both and then added together, anything paid will be deducted and you will either get a refund or bill.

If you have only just started minding and will not make a profit/small one you will probably get a refund
