I'm only just looking into childminding now, but would like your advise on what are the best courses.

I am a single mum so these would have to be home study courses. I don't have a lot of spare cash sat around so if they have a payment scheme where you can pay the course monthly that would be much better.

I don't currently have any child care qualifications (other than being a mummy lol).

Being a mummy is a fab qualification!

I would ring your local Children's Information Service and ask about start-up grants and pre-registrations courses before you go spending any money with anyone, online or not.

You've got to do the local authority pre-reg anyway, which will give you a good grounding in all things childminder oriented, so I'd wait and fill in gaps later rather than rush in and potentially waste money. :D
