Hi Cherry

If your partner is coming along with you then it's best to register as you would have to fill in the same questions when you arrive on site anyway.

See you there. :)

I'm going. :clapping: I have booked a ticket for hubby, but don't know if he'll be able to go or not, depends if he has to work, obviously too soon to know.

Sam, I go to the TES show every year on my own, I love it, nobody moaning because I'm browsing for too long or spending too much money. :D Go for it you'll be fine and we should all be able to arrange to meet for coffee somewhere.

Sam, don't worry about coming alone. There will be lots of people coming alone as well as in groups. You can always pop into the organisers office for a coffee when you get there if you want. You can bring a friend to keep you company, it doesn't matter if they are not a childcare professional.

Annie, that's great that you've booked your ticket already.

This is only the second year that I have run Childcare Expo so I want as many people as possible to come along so it is a success and makes the exhibitors keep coming back.

:)

I had a lovely time thank you!

The stall holders who were there were very attentive and enthusiastic and the purchases I made have been well received by the children.

On my wish list for next year - more bits and bobs to buy... I went home with money burning a hole in my pocket.

:D

Sarah,

We'll try and encourage more companies to sell off their stands for next year!

Glad you had and good time and found resources that were useful!

What goes on in the childcare expo?

Nicole,

Childcare Expo is a national event for everyone working in the early years sector.

This year we had an array of educational seminars, play on a budget workshops (full of creative ideas and top activity tips), Early Years Outdoors: Magical Journeys an inspirational area full of ideas for your outdoor space however large or small it may be and lots of different suppliers, some of whom sell products off of their stand.

A group from childminding forum all met up to come to the show this year!

I was a bit disappointed...

the people that were selling were fab, but there just was not enough of them...

even with my meagre budget I still went home with money in my pocket...

:(

not sure i'll go again, I am sure there were stall holders on the original list that were not there on the day :(

Hi Donkey,

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the show. All of the exhibitors on the exhibitor list attended Childcare Expo 2011. The only company who did not attend was National Literacy Trust and this was due to a staffing issue.

2011 was only the second Childcare Expo and we were pleased to have 65 companies at the exhibition. Next year hopefully we will have some more. The show is always going to be smaller than the larger shows that target education from 0-19 years as we are dedicated to the early years.

We will try our hardest to encourage more of the smaller companies (who will sell off their stands) to exhibit at the expo next year, we've got some in mind but who would you like to see?

Thanks,

Kimberley :)

Hi Donkey,

Thank you for your suggestions.

We will definitely be approaching all of those companies and will let them know that our visitors want to see them there.

Our exhibitors this year offered a range of show discounts and we will talk to all exhibitors again next year to see what discounts and deals they will be offering at Childcare Expo 2012 and will publish them on our website before the show (although not everyone tells us before the show!)

If you do think of any topics you would like to learn about or any other products or companies you would like to see do let us know as the show is yours as much as it is ours!

Thanks :)
