Fire surround advice

I had my pre reg visit and was advised I need something for my fire.

She said it doesnt have to be a surround as it only works via a remote and wont ever be used during the day.

But I need something to stop the little ones bumping their heads. But not just on the corners on the whole base of the fire its wall mounted.

So Im stuck I dont really wanna use a surround as they take up so much space and my lounge is not that big to begin with.

Any one get any ideas?

It's hard to know without seeing your fire but is there anything here that would do the job?
