When to advertise

I was just wondering when is the best time to start advertising that you will be available for childminding?

Ofstead have my forms and so, hopefully, it won't be too long before I am registered.

It can take up to three months for you to be registered so my advice would be to wait at least 2 months. And when you do advertise you will need to clearly state that you aren't actually registered yet. A lot of the parents who have been in contact with me have actually asked for my registration details, presumably to check that I am actually registered!

I would start advertising now or atleast getting your name out
Sometimes takes a while to get your first mindee.

Take to parents at school etc i found this the best way of advertising x

I was going to wait until I received my registration certificate before I advertised.

I'd say now too! Get yourself known, adverts up in local postoffices, co-ops, etc. Attend playgroups, schools, etc. See you've built a website which is a great thing to do too :thumbsup:
