get hold of some books from the library like Harry and the dinosaurs by Ian Whybrow or Dinosaur roar by Paul & Henrietta Stickland ...

you could also make a dinosaur small world using a shoebox, some blue material for water, green material for grass, make some trees and plants with the child etc... add the plastic dinosaurs and away you go!

Hth :D

Books are always a good starting point - there are load of dinosaur books at the local library, but I cannot think of names at the moment.
How about -
PSE - needs of baby dinosaurs - links to their own personal needs
CLL - dinosaur names, and getting them to talk about the apearance, colour etc of dinosaurs. Noises of dinosaurs - there is a Nick Sharratt? rhyme book about this - great
Could lots about letter D and individual letters. Draw pics with letters in the middle. Use dino models to make footprint letters
PSRN - counting, sorting activities. Have you got dino models - I use these loads with DS1 at the mo for this. Big and small dinos. Make some pretend dino pics using different shapes
KUW - make a model dino scene - with lots o volcanoes, alms and fens and let them use imagination to play with dino models
PD- we have had loads of fun bing dinos over Christmas. The Nick Sharratt book is great for this too. Make some dino food for healthy eating. We decided they would like thick veg soup! And make dino shape cookies
CD - make their own dinos using junk, dino pics, dino hand and foot prints.

Depending where you are how about a visit to the Nat History museum? Did I mention my nearly 4 yr old is dino mad? This is what I have done with him over the Christms hols!

By buying anything from these links you will earn a few pennies for the Childminding Forum to help with running costs.

Alternatively go to the Childminders Shop on the forum and click on the Amazon logo at the top and search for anything from there this will also earn a small commission for the forum, every little helps.

I also have a little one who loves dinosaurs at first I used some of the ideas above but as it,s gone on so long the dinosaurs are included in everything eg used in paint, sand etc part of every game, used instead of counters included in small world play. Some dinosaur stories and factual books available all the time but as part of all the other books so he can eventually move on to other interests
