thanks everyone. he got back at 3.30, after 10 hours on the A3 i hampshire. usually takes him 40 mins to get home.

Everyone take it easy today, dont go out unless you have to, and make sure you have blankets and food and drink if you do have to go out.

Thanks for all these messages, it made me feel better when i logged on this morning and so many people had replied.

glad hes home safe and well.

good advice about food/blankets. we were the same a when we came home from cornwall a couple of summers ago and got caought up in the floods, spending all night on the motorway, not very nice.

Glad he got home ok. Was hearing on the radio this morning that people were trapped there all night.

My son is supposed to be coming back with his Dad from Surrey today, but not sure what will happen. If he does, will suggest they go prepared, just dont fancy his dad getting stuck here and having to stay the night :panic:

Glad he is home safe and sound

Saw how bad Hampshire was on the news this morning. Take it he is not going to work today? Enjoy

I am in Swindon and we have 5" plus of snow with it still falling and I am waiting from a call from DH to find out if he is still going to a meeting in London - hope not

Glad your hubby got home safe and well.

I heard on the news this morning that a couple were stuck in their car for 12 hours with a 13 month old baby  Didn't catch where it was though - I hope the lo was wrapped up warm.

When I came back from the supermarket early evening yesterday my car thermometer was showing -2c and my neighbours daughter was walking round to their house with her 6 month old baby in a pushchair - no hat on baby, the buggy hood back and one flimsy blanket!
