Thought it might be intersting to see what vacancies we all have at the beginning of 2010, and our success in filling them.

It really is all about how many vacancies you want to fill, rather than going to your max numbers as that may not be for everyone:

From the end of January I could do with filling:
1 x preschooler space anything up to FT hours
1 x 5-8 space term time only hopefully

I'd like an after schooler, don't want anymore under 5's, fed up with nappy changes in my pregnant state!

Have 3 before and after school places.
Would ideally like them until 5pm and term time only.

Am full for under 5's until September...when I can have another and there's only 2 of us, so wont be short of LO's! ;)

Positive vibes for all looking!

I could do with an under 5 on tuesdays to keep the 2 1/2yr old company, possibly 2 if one can walk well as I need to be practical about getting about.

In April when my temp Friday child finishes I would like to replace with 2 or 3under 5's on a Thursday to give me Fridays free again.

I only have one mindee aged 18 mths, so therefore I have 2 full time spaces I would like to fill.

I am not really looking to fill before/after school although I might have one coming which is a friends daughter.

I am hoping for a couple of ring backs from people who enquired before Xmas wanting Feb starts - one is for twins which would fill my vacancies in one go!!!:clapping:

Good luck to those looking!!

I have 2 vacancies after school on Tuesday & Wednesday - but to be honest I am not really looking to fill them urgently.

When my under 5 leaves in March I am not doing any more under 5's- only after schools.

I was looking at being empty at least until baby arrived, but hapily signed contracts for 2children for 2 full days starting next week, they are only term time so wouldnt mind a holiday contract and maybe another part timer in the under 5's

As I'm registered for 5 then I'd like to fill 5 spaces. Losing my 3 part time under 5's in March which leaves me only with 3 after schoolers. Basically, I'm desperate.

At the moment all of them. If my full time mindee stays which is 50/50 depending when I get home I really need to fill some spaces or its job hunting for me:(

I could do with one under 5 space on a Monday only filling as my Dd is at preschool so only have 1 mindee on a monday morning, which can be nice but the money of another would be nicer.

After that I do have one 5-8 vacancy but my own DD is starting school in Sept so didn't really want to fill it as with my own children and mindees if I get a 7 seater we could all fit in at the moment.

I will have a full time under 5 vacancy at easter, and could do with a couple of after schoolers TBH i'll take anything I can, you never know when you might lose some, so the more you have the easier any losses will be, if that makes sense.

I have had 2 under 5's spaces since September and have had some calls but all have let me down at the last minute:(

Will give it untill I have done my NVQ3 and will have to give it up I think if things don't pick up:(

Hopefully 2010 will be a better year for us all that are waiting:)

i am full as I want to be, though panicking about another one due to start in March.

I have my own 18 month old, another 18 month old 2 days and a 14 month old 2 days and a 9 month old starting 2 days in March.

I pick up 4, 4, 5 and 11 from school....arrrggghhhh

Silly me saw another family today with a 14 month old who wants 2 days a week.

It is so hard to say no when I need the money and from experience know I am only ever 4 weeks notice away from no mindees

Hi

I would love to fill the two under 5s vacancies. I had two enquiries just before Xmas holidays so may hear this week if they are interested. Happy New Year to all!

I only have a space mon and fri mornings but not bothered about filling it to be honest. will be nice to have some time one to one with my 2 yr old mindee as other mindee will be at nursery and my own son at pre school! I don't want any more after schoolers either as have 5 with various days. So quite happy at mo but going to get some more leaflets ready as you just never know when you need to do an advertising campaign!!!

Don't have any to fill at the minute but will allk change this year.

I have 2 that turn 8 this year, 2 that go to school full time and 2 that are off to nursery, so by september i might have all my spaces to fill.

Will wait and see what the new year brings with it.

part time hours here and there for under 5's i would like to fill , but may be filling those with 2yr old pilot scheme. have only 1 after schooler so ideally ( financially) could do with more. was gutted had to turn down 3 siblings last week as they are at the other village school. could get to their school for collection if i drove not walked , but then couldnt fit everyone in the car! really tried to find a way to do it but no joy. the extra £400 a month would have made a huge difference , and no EYFS!

I'm full, but its been very hit and miss the last 12 months with parents dropping days due to pay cuts ect, I had a new baby start today, I'm now full, 3 under 5's spaces filled and 2 after school is enough for me. but it could all change as the year goes on.

I do have vacancies, but have decided I have enough children.

I have 2 before and after schoolers
1 x 3 yr old 3 days per week
1 x 2 year old 2 1/2 days per week.

I have a baby starting in May who will be 6 months old.

I have had 2 or 3 queries over the past couple of months and an enquiry today which I am tempted. It would be for a baby as well so would need a variation. The baby was very premature and they think he may have dwarfism as well, waiting for Mum to phone me back about a visit. Thought it wouldn't do any harm in speaking to her and discussing her needs.

I am very lucky in that all my children are term-time only contracts.
