I employ my son as my assistant and as he never went over the tax allowance did not have to prepare a P60 but this year he has got a 2nd job and will need to do a tax return so I will need to prepare one.

Never done this before so any guidance on what I have to do would be apprecited.

Thanks.

Yes I do them for the company I work for, I do all their pay role.

They are really easy to do, what is it you need to know.

If you are using the I.R software then it is just a couple of buttons and you can submit it online.

Currently don't do anything and don't have anything. Where do I get the paperwork from to give to him?

Ring up the Inland Revenue Employers Helpline on Tel 0845 60 70 143. It's open 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday and 8.00 am to 5.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Explain the situation to them and ask if you need to register as a new employer. They will send you the new employers pack with the cd rom and tell you what you need to do.
