Used one for the first time last week at a Surestart Centre, the lo sat quite happily in it for about 15 mins playing with toys. Would buy one but will have a look on ebay first. :)

One of June's parents bought two for her daughter, one for home and one for when she was at Junes. When she could sit unaided she let us keep it for any mindees that were of a suitable age!!!:clapping: Have used it a few times and its great, but always check with parents that it is ok with them!!

my friend had one and is was great for her baby but she put it away in the end as her 2 year old thought it was a potty and kept 'going' in it!

I've got one and find it great, though you only tend to use it for a couple of months whilst baby develops the strength to sit unaided. The older kids always seem to try and wear it on their heads:laughing:
I would say good for childminding as you will usually get your moneys worth as it gets used by subsequent children. Also it tends to keep babies a little safer from other LO's as I find the cushions I pile around babies tend to disappear to make dens:rolleyes:

Just want to echo what the last 2 posters have said. DS1 managed to get out of his at the tender age of 6 months and fell onto the floor. he was a skinny little thing and just managed to twist himself round so far he flicked his legs out. Personally I do not like them, I think they instill a false sense of security and I also know people who put them on tables and work tops too

I've never heard of them!

Would only use it if the parents were happy for me to use it.
