Sally & I took on two sisters two weeks ago but were not sure if everything was going ok. They had previously been with another childminder who gave up and she was a hard act to follow.
We only have the girls three days a week Mon, Thurs & Fri so we have that break during the week. The eldest girl has latched onto Sally and follows her everywhere but does not say a lot. the other one seems to have taken to me and is only just one so we do not expect much at present.
When mum picked them up on Fri night she did not get much of a reaction from the eldest and you could almost she it in her face has she done the right thing. Then at about 9pm Sally received a text from mum say that the eldest girl had said that she had a really good day at Sally & Mick's and the mum text us to thank us for the past two weeks and wished us a great weekend and will see us next week.
When you get a response from parents like that (albeit few and farbetween!) it makes it all worthwhile.
