I'm thinking of doing an NVQ, but struggling to find training providers for online or distance learning courses. Has anyone done it and got any recommendations, or indeed suggestions which ones to avoid? Thank you.

You could try the National Extension College (NEC) there is a link at the top of this section, some people have used them and had success as far as I know. :)

You can also do the nvq at home with an assessor, which have different providers all over the country. Most of the funding is through train to gain.
In my area there is rapido and aspiration training, both in the midlands/sw.
This is not just for the ccld course but others as well, most nvq's require some on the job training.

I would go with NEC - I have trained other 2 different distance learning providers & both times was given no help at all....having learnt my lesson I will now only disance learn under NEC / OU.

HTH:)
