Pine cones

Hi there,
Been looking in the Creative Steps magazine and there are some wonderful ideas for Christmas activities. One of them involves pine cones. Could anyone tell me where I could buy some please?

I got all of mine from the school playground last year!

The children loved collecting them & I ended up with loads. We used lots last year, but have got enough left for this year.

It might be worthwhile asking on your local freecycle if anyone has them lying around in their garden.

Thank you. I saw that John Lewis sold them by the bag but our John Lewis is a long way to drive to. I'm on maternity leave at the moment so I'm looking for things to do with my three year old son that doesn't involve going to the Play Barn or watching films!
