Ive got my under 5's organisation down to a tee now!! But ive just signed a before and after schooler that is five years old.
Do i need to do EYFS with them? Do i do a learning journey and any sort of planning?

when is your 5yr olds birthday , eyfs continues until the august after their 5th birthday. The 5 year old i care for is out of eyfs as his bd is july. For him I include him with any festival or theme planning i do , and follow up things he has been doing at school ( I get a copy of the newsletter showing what yr1 are covering). But on the whole he isnt 'planned' for , or observed. He is making a scrapbook about his time here ( well , we do it together , but he chooses what to put in ) If he wants to chill infront of the telly occasionally then thats ok too. HTH kath x
