What do you need to cover?
You can buy it in B&Q, I can't remember how much it is though, but it's not cheap. I'm sure if you google glass safety film you will come up with alternative suppliers.
You should not need to cover anything that is double glazed (windows/doors) as they are usually made from toughened glass anyway. Check the corners or the silver bar that holds the glass panes apart for BS No.
You only need to put it on one side, if it is a cabinet then you would put it on the outside. You normally don't need to put it on anything above waist height either (1m ish)

I got some from B&Q - it is expensive but it goes through your books.

I was told it needed to be on both sides if the child could be in any kind of contact with the glass. EG - I have a porch, the internal of the doors is an old PVC one & not safety glass. It has a glass panel at the top & bottom of the door. I had to put the film on the top & bottom & both sides as the child could touch it either side of the door.

I typed 'glass safety film' into google and found a company at cost price who delivered it the next day. It worked out about one 10th of the price from Mothercare and B and Q!

Easy to fit too!
