Do you like my sock monkeys?

I saw some sock monsters in an art gallery/shop priced at a wopping £35 each. They reminded me of a sock monkey thread on the moneysaving site. I thought I can do that....so I did. Here are my practice attempts, which have gone down a storm with the LO's

Here (http://www.santaspostbag.co.uk/how-to-make-sock-monkeys-christmas-toy.shtml) are the instructions. If you can use a sewing machine then the basic pieces are really quick and easy to sew. The hardest part is joining the pieces onto the body as it can take a while. It took me about 2 hours to make each one. I embroidered on the eyes as I thought buttons made it look a bit evil.
I'm going to buy some cheap stripy and spotty socks to make some for my mindees. My mum is on about making some for a craft fair that she has to contribute to.
Oh and I used the clean but lumpy stuffing from an old pillow to stuff them.
